Punch ornaments

I truly, truly love Christmas time, and the lights, and decorations, the music, and crafts! Most of all time home with my kids over Christmas break. I am really looking forward to those weeks already. These are some of the scallop punch ornaments I made for the tree this year. My daughter, really enjoys making these with me.

Anniversary card

I used the Baroque Motifs for this card, cased off a wonderfully creative SCS, Alkin. Thanks for the inspiration, I changed it just a bit. I love this stamp set for its versatility! It looks better in real life... I used vanilla and purely pomegranite card stock and gold embossing, and stampin dimentionals (pop dots) to raise the layers, and gold stickles for the very center. Love the Cropadile for the side brads!

Dad's Birthday

This is a card I made for my Dad's birthday... but I had to wait to post it, until he got it in the mail. I combined Peaceful Wishes and Pines to come up with a masculine card. I liked the way this turned out. Why are these so hard for me at times?

Happy Thanksgiving

Let me start this out by saying it was a wonderful week to be with my family. I am truly gratelful for them. My daughter had pink eye for an entire week! So much so, that we had to go back to the hospital for a different anti-biotic. The first one wasn't working, in fact her eyes were so purple and swollen, she looked like she was from another planet. Once that kicked in, the week started looking brighter for both of us!

These are some candles I made for Christmas craft fair happening here at the top of the world right after Thanksgiving.

Penguin Christmas

This is a card I made this weekend at a party, with inspriation from Patti, using the penguin from Polar Pals, I just drew the scarf on. I love the designer papers from SU!

Punch Snowflake Technique

This was an awesome card I got to make with Lori, and a group of wonderful stampers. Even my husband says this one's a keeper- or a sender... He was impressed, which takes a lot. It's amazing what you can do with paper and ribbon!

Greetings of the Season

This is a simple card that just happened when I got this set out for the first time to play with it. I can't wait to try it with the patterned paper and some other colors! I enjoyed using the crop-a-dile on both of the last two cards I've posted. It makes things so much better!

Season of Joy

Today was an awesome wintery day in the Arctic. It started out by making "mud" for my Kindergarteners, so they could re-inact a story we were reading about farm animals-which many of them have little or no background knowledge about. Then came the beautiful slide show I put together showing green fields, animals, mountians, trees, rivers, the baby animals, and beautiful landscapes showing tractors, barns, and clouds... Don't take this the wrong way, I actually like where we are living, up here in the Arctic, but seeing all that green and beauty made me homesick for Montana. The other thing I am missing lately is light! We have almost two hours of it now, so my body can't figure out if it's time to sleep or stay awake and stamp- like I'd like to do. I aim for a moderate dose of both usually! Otherwise, I can't keep up with my own two kids, piano, dance, soccer, church, and school. We are adding Brownies and Battle of the Books to that list soon.

I really, really like this color combo! I bet you can tell!

Winter snowman

I cased this off splitcoast from Dig this Stamper...I changed it a bit to make it more my own, but it is a fun one for the holidays.

More Things to be Thankful For

Enjoyed doing this in one of the classes I had this Fall. I have so much to be thankful for, and am going to send out some of these for Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving

This is Thankful Season, one of my fellow teachers wanted to see a card done with this set. Once I started playing with it, I liked it. It has possibilities.

Do Not Open "Till Christmas

Well, it has been a while since I've been able to stamp, I have been trying to keep my head above water, and smile all the while. We had parent teacher conferences, Red Ribbon Week, Fire Prevention Field trips, and I am starting a Brownie Troop. We are going to be part of the Farthest North Council. Our light is fading quickly, and we are excited for the holidays. I always enjoy the quiet time with my kids and getting to stamp at home! I used the Perfect Presentation set from Stampin' Up for this card.
