Just Because

This week was a really long week! I am just drained. Nonetheless, I am hoping to carve out some time to let the creative juices flow and stamp- or even scrap! I don't remember the last time I put together a page for the scrapbooks-that's how I got started in this. I can't wait to use the rub-ons on a scrap page!
I am really loving the sale-a-bration rub-ons! I have never used rub-ons before this, but wow! It is a lot of fun, and opens up new opportunities for creativity! I also used the new SU felt flowers. At first I was thinking the colors were'nt that great for the flowers, but I like how this turned out, I think the color combination is growing on me. This card also has some dry embossing using the light table and classy brass templates that SU sells.

Beautiful gift

One of my student's mothers Robin- made me this wonderful gift for her son to give me for Valentine's Day. She is a talented CTMH demonstrator and boy, is this beautiful in real life!

You can check out her site http://robinsmith.myctmh.com she has done some awesome things on her site. This gives us a whole new perspective on containers doesn't it?

Valentine's

I made this card for my DH. He is truly unique. I used three different sets for this one, and another on the inside!

Ellie in Blue

It's been a very busy week or so, I've gotten to stamp here and there, but not blog! Sorry! I made this playing around with Ellie in blue. I used the faux leather technique on this card. I also used various punches and dazzling diamonds on Ellie's nails and hearts.

Embrace Life box

Wow! What a busy weekend! It's all good though. We had an exchange group of teachers/administrators up on the North Slope from Scottland, and we explored some digital art projects. Maybe I'll post one of mine if I can figure out how to up load it. It was a lot of fun. The team was great to work with. Between this and Saturday in-services I haven't had much time to stamp or scrap lately. I have some catching up to do!

I made this before the Valentine Class, but thought I would share it with you now.
This box was made using the Embrace Life SU set, Blue Bayou and Soft Sky paper and watercolored image, along with the Blue Bayou double stitched ribbon, and a brad from the Pretties kit. I keep coming back to these colors periodically-because they are so tranquil.

Like it a Latte

I absolutely love this set still! (Like it a Latte!) I was so surprised when it didn't make it in to the regular catalog. I made this card last year, and I might do a few things differently now, to update it a bit. Maybe that will be my next post. This set had endless possibilities. I used Choc. Chip paper and ink, Real Red ink, and Regal Rose for the main card body.

So Many Scallops and Happy Heart Day

This month is sale-a-bration! I used the Happy Heart Day set with the sale-a-bration set, So Many Scallops. The scallop punch cuts the stamped images perfectly! The best part about sale-a-bration is that for every fifty dollars you spend Feb. 1-March 15 you can pick a free set from the sale-a-bration mini catalog.

For this card I used a Real Red base, and Reagal Rose Ribbon, and pink background, Bashful Blue cardstock then water colored the mouse and heart, outlined with a darker shade. I used a sponge to apply the red direct to ink technique and the paper piercer for the outline around the Bashful Blue. I used Dazzling Diamonds to add sparkle to the flowers.

Hope you like it!
