God Bless America

Hello, I am back! It has taken me a while to be able to stamp and post again. I had summer school to teach and helped with our churche's VBS all last week. It was so much fun, but I was so busy too. I made this card using an older stamp I think it is called "God Bless America"? But I am not sure exactly. I picked it up at a yard sale! I don't have many patriotic stamp sets, so I was excited to find it. Of course I used Brilliant Blue, and Real Red. With the Jumbo Wheel, Classic Stars I embossed using clear EP.

Remember, "Freedom is not free, someone paid the price".

Snowbirds

The snowbirds are back, and it's music to our ears. We still have lots of snow, but it's starting to melt some. I have changed my posting securities, so if you have tried to post comments before and had trouble, it should be easier now. I am starting to feel like I am only doing this for myself! Does anyone know how to add a counter?

I have been sick with a chest cold, I am hoping that maybe I'll be able to squeeze some stamping in later today.

Teacher Appreciation Week

I don't know how many of you are classroom teachers out there, but as a fellow teacher, I wanted my kids' teachers to know I appreciated them whole heartedly. I have a first hand experience with the time with kids, and the behind the scenes and all of the other things it takes to be a wonderful teacher.

Now, I bet you can tell one is a male teacher. I used the SU set Thanks for Everything on both cards. On the Choc. Chip card I used the paisley background, and patterned paper and on the Wasabi and Rose colored one I used the Kind Thoughts set to create a background. This is one of my favorites SU has out, there's just so much to do with it. I also embossed flowers from Bodacious Boquet and added them on. The layout was similar on both, just different colors and background.

Happy Mother's Day

This is the card we made in my class for Mother's Day... and I can post it, because it's not the one I made for my Mom or my Sister. He! He! Hope you all like it!

We used the Bloomin' Beautiful set from the SU Mini, Wild Wasabi textured paper, and Pretty In Pink, the sentiment is stamped in River Rock. We used the slot punch and the designer punch too. Hope your Mother's Day was a good one.

Music is the speech of Angels

This is for our piano teacher this weekend. The kids have a recital, and then we have a break from lessons until September. She loves these colors, so I am kinda hoping she'll keep this as a decoration. I used the Close to My Heart set, The Music of Life for the sentiment, and the

Kind Thoughts set from SU, colors are Wild Wasabi and Lovely Lilac. I embossed the background, and added stickles to the middle and the two main side swirls to give it a bit of "bling". It looks much, much better in real life. I am tempted to make another one for my house and frame it somewhere. What do you think?
